Finally got the chance to re-do (again, and again, and yet agaiinnn...) the faceup on the Impldoll ‘Heloise’ (IM Robot-3 LE100). Her face it’s hideous, it always was, but I was totally up for her mech-body, I find it amazing and I have never seeing any other BJD completely robotic (at least not back then). A single robotic arm, leg or part of the torso?, sure, but a %100 complete doll?, this is the only one I have seeing on SD size that it’s not like a extremely immature collector screaming “OMG! I HAVE A SUPER MACHINASOMETHING IM SO COOL LOVE ME AND MY DOLL IM A JERK LOKING FOR ATTENTION LOLOLOLOOL”. Back to the head, it just looks like an alien to me. Like an alien from the X-Files TV series or some crash-landing on Area-51. Thankfully I did not chose the “grey” skin color and I went for normal... but still, she has some “peculiar” features and I’m not even sure why I order her (really long ago) to begin with but I was thinking to give her a mode ‘delicate’ female look and reunite her head with her body. So maybe will have some updates in the future... I do think this head will always be a “work in progress”. I just hope I bond with her someday.
Along side it’s the recast FP65 Chloe (elf) faceplate, I had her for a long time now and never did her faceup (yeah, sometimes I get really lazy), and I had to at least give her some color... comes to think; ‘my haters’ (back here in my country) say ““I place the eyelashes backwards””. I was never able to actually understand what they meant, like... eyelashes go only one way right?, you can’t miss it, if anyone around here has any clue about this ‘confusing insult’ I will really appreciate the comment, ...maybe I suffer from a strange disorder and I see the eyelashes on the right direction but I’m placing them backwards..? or something..? :/
P.S.
BTW, I don’t use any electric device on my faceups, I don’t have an aerograph or anything, all this is just pastels and acrylics and stuff applied by hand with pulse and a bit of time. If you have anything bad to say about my faceups go do it on a anon blog or look the other way, I like my dolls, they are mine, I don’t need to please the entire world, only myself.
